A Lucerne Valley man was arrested on a complaint of felony vandalism after he allegedly tried to break into a San Bernardino County Sheriff's station.
Just before 9 a.m. Wednesday, deputies at the Lucerne Valley Sheriff's Substation discovered that the door to the station had been damaged, the department said in a news release.
"The suspect forced open the door but did not get into the station," the release stated.
Two deputies investigated and determined the alleged vandal was Mario Morales, 35, and he was arrested around 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
Morales did not appear in a search of jail records, but the SBSD said he was booked into the High Desert Detention Center and is being held in lieu of $30,000 bail.
