Authorities found nothing suspicious at Loma Linda University Medical Center or Grand Terrace High School after investigating possible bomb threats at both locations Tuesday morning.
Multiple units were sent to the scene of the hospital, searching the location, Cindy Bachman of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department tweeted at 10:54 a.m.
The search revealed nothing suspicious and the hospital was cleared, LT. Robert O’Brine of the Sheriff’s Department tweeted about an hour later.
Units also responded to the high school, Bachman stated in a separate tweet.
That incident turned out to be a hoax, according to O’Brine.
The campus was cleared and students allowed to return to class, according to O’Brine’s tweet.
No further details were immediately provided about either incident.
The bomb threat was the second reported at the hospital in less than a week. A threat was phoned in last Wednesday around 2:40 p.m., hours after a shooting rampage in nearby San Bernardino left 14 people dead and 21 others injured.
At the time, five adult patients from the attack were being treated at the hospital, which is the only Level 1 trauma center in the Inland Empire.
A “code yellow” alert was lifted about 50 minutes later following a K-9 search, a hospital spokesperson said on Wednesday.
