A suspect remains at large after a man was found shot to death at a park in Victorville.
On Friday, San Bernardino County deputies responded to reports of a man down at Village Park on the 15700 block of Eto Camino Lane at 6:19 a.m.
Deputies found the victim, Robert James Smith, 40, of Adelanto, lying on the ground by his car suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The shooter had fled the area before authorities arrived.
The circumstances leading up to the deadly incident remain under investigation.
