Authorities were searching for two men who sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl after kidnapping her as she was headed to school this week, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said Friday.
At approximately 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, the victim was walking in the area of Jonathan Street and Mojave Drive, on her way to Adelanto High School, when a Toyota with two men inside suddenly stopped their vehicle. The passenger got out, grabbed her and placed the girl in the back seat of the vehicle, sheriff’s officials said in a news release.
The pair drove to a nearby location, parked on the side of the road and raped her inside the vehicle, the release stated.
They then let the victim go.
She went to school that day, but reported the sexual assault the following day, officials said.
Deputies were searching for two black men, both in their early 20s, in connection with the incident.
The first subject was described as being 6-foot-3, with a heavy build, short black hair that was shaved on the side, and fringes of facial hair on his chin and jaw, according to the release. He had a black ink tattoo of a tiger head and paw on his left chest that was “shiny,” authorities said in the release.
The second man was described as being of medium height, with a medium build, caramel-colored skin, and short hair with dreadlocks or curls, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
Their compact car was described as an older-model Toyota, with four doors, tan upholstery and no tinted windows.
