Authorities on Tuesday were searching for two teenagers suspected of shooting a 5-year-old boy in the head with a BB gun in San Bernardino.
The incident was reported in the 3300 block of North Conejo Drive (map) at about 11:42 p.m. Saturday, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department stated in a news release.
Witnesses told authorities the boy had been shot in the forehead by an unknown firearm, which was later determined to be a BB gun, according to the news release.
The boy was taken to Loma Linda Children’s Hospital where he received care for his injuries, the Sheriff’s Department stated.
Authorities are searching for two boys between the ages of 13 and 17 who witnesses believe were responsible.
One of the boys, said to be named Larry, was described as white. The other, said to be named Alan, was described as black.
They were last seen running northbound on Conejo Dr. and were believed to live in the area, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
