No injuries have been reported after a small plane crashed in Highland early Friday afternoon, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

The crash occurred in the area of Cypress Street and Lankershim Avenue, Capt. Anthony DeCecio of the Sheriff's Department's Highland Station tweeted shortly after noon.
The area is located near an elementary school, and about a half-mile from the San Bernardino International Airport, Sky5 video showed.
Two people were on board the plane, but there have been no reports of injuries, according to sheriff's spokeswoman Cindy Bachman.
The single-engine Antonov AN-2 was approaching the airport when it experienced engine failure, prompting the pilot to land in a field, said Ian Gregor, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration.
The plane landed upside down, aerial video showed. The extent of the damage to the aircraft was not immediately known.
Cal Fire San Bernardino and the San Bernardino Fire Department also responded to the crash site.
Multiple emergency vehicles were blocking a street that bordered the field where the plane crashed, according to the aerial footage.
Power was out in the immediate area as the aircraft brought down power lines, Cal Fire tweeted. Southern California Edison crews were en route to restore service.
No additional information was immediately available.
